4. Claire and Aunt Jocasta get off on the wrong foot

The promo and synopsis for Outlander Season 4, Episode 2 makes it clear that Aunt Jocasta isn’t going to take too kindly to Claire. She looks happy to see Jamie, but Claire’s views on slavery and running plantations are going to rub Jocasta the wrong way.

After all, Jocasta has used slaves the whole time. Her plantation runs because of them and she’s grown up in a time when owning slaves is expected and the done thing.

Let’s not also forget that Jocasta is a MacKenzie and they can be just as stubborn as Frasers at times. Jocasta is set in her ways and won’t like Claire stepping in to tell her what’s right and wrong in her own home.

3. Jamie blames himself

More from Spoilers

Poor Jamie. The Frasers will need to deal with the aftermath of Stephen Bonnet attacking the ship and that includes the death of Lesley and Claire’s ring from Jamie being stolen. He’ll blame himself because that’s just the type of guy Jamie is.

We all know that he couldn’t have done anything differently. Well, maybe he could have avoided leaving the cabin to get ambushed, but he didn’t know what was waiting outside for him. He was getting beaten while Claire and the others were attacked inside.

He’s going to blame himself and this will affect his mood when he sees his Aunt Jocasta again. It’ll also affect his mood when things happen in the area.
