Will Claire and Jamie be separated in Outlander Season 4?
Every season has seen Claire and Jamie separated for a set amount of time. Will that be the case in Outlander Season 4?
Whether it’s waiting for Claire and Jamie to meet or because Jamie has sent his wife back through the stones, each season has seen Claire and Jamie separated. Now that Outlander Season 4 is just weeks away, fans want to know what to expect. Will we see them separated again?
Of course, we can’t know for certain. Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan were at NYCC 2018 but they couldn’t explain everything that is going to happen in the whole season. They can’t say which parts of the novel “Drums of Autumn” had to be removed and which other bits had to be left for later. Yet, Balfe made it clear that Claire and Jamie are “really solid” this season.

Unlike in previous seasons where they haven’t been certain of each other or their life together, this season they’re happy and still very much in love. They’re ready to be together and build a home together, which certainly helps to prevent issues that drive them apart.
There aren’t going to be any cliffhangers. Fans certainly got annoyed at the number of times Jamie was arrested and pulled away from Claire. I think that moment in Outlander Season 3 was the most eye-rolling for many and it was only the scene in the finale with Lord John Grey that saved it. We hopefully won’t see any repeats of that.

Jamie is no longer a wanted man. At least for now. As the trailer points out, by taking the land, Claire and Jamie could find themselves on the wrong side of history again. Will they end up fighting for the British when Claire knows the Americans are going to win? This could lead them into some legal bother but Claire and Jamie aren’t going to doubt their relationship anymore.
