Will Willie return in Outlander Season 4?
In Outlander Season 3, fans met young Willie for the first time. He’s important to Jamie, so will we see Willie again in Outlander Season 4?
Who didn’t adore Willie in Outlander Season 3? He is unknowingly the illegitimate son of Jamie Fraser and is definitely a spoilt brat. Under the guidance of Lord John Grey that could change, but for now, we’ll remember him as the brat who was shocked to find out that “Mac” was a “stinking papist.”
As we get closer to the fourth season, fans are eager to know if he’ll return. Those who have read “Drums of Autumn” already know, but there are plenty of fans who haven’t. People will tell you to read the books, but there are all sorts of reasons you won’t want to or can’t manage it.

If the show works with the books, he will most definitely play a role in the fourth season. It looks like he’s the one who is shooting with Jamie in the first trailer released, so there’s that to look forward to.
For those who want a few more spoilers, we’ll take a quick look at the book storyline. Willie comes to North Carolina with Lord John Grey, who is his adopted father and uncle by marriage.
In Season 3, John said that Isobel and William were still in England. That is the case in the books, and the two head to Jamaica in “Drums of Autumn.” On the way, Isobel dies and the man running her plantation in Virginia reaches out to John and Willie for advice and orders. The two head to the Colonies, putting them in the path of Jamie and Claire.
Lord John Grey falls ill when visiting the Frasers and that leads to Willie and Jamie spending some time together. Will Willie learn the truth? He doesn’t in “Drums of Autumn” but this could be the moment everything changes. Could Willie learn he’s not the son of Lord Ellesmere but the son of Mac?
