Outlander Season 4 key art: What will it need to show for the season?
It won’t be too long before we get the Outlander Season 4 key art. What will it need to show us for the overall season?
The key art is the poster used to promote the season from the beginning. It’s used on DVD and Blu-Ray covers, for promotional needs throughout the year, and as the stock image for things like Netflix and the Starz app covers. So, the Outlander Season 4 needs to show us what to expect from the season.
Claire and Jamie are certainly a must. They’ve been included in all three seasons so far, because it is their story. However, they’ve not always been alone.
Since the third season was all about finding their ways back to each other, the Outlander Season 3 key art focused on that. A stone of Craig na Dun is between them, as they rest against it searching for each other.

The first season was also just them but with two separate shots–I’ve also seen the images reverse to show what the two are looking at. In one of the shots, it’s Frank’s hand reaching out for Claire and she’s torn while in the second shot, it’s Black Jack Randall’s hand reaching out and Claire is holding a dirk at him. In both, Jamie is stood behind Claire.
In the key art for the second season, we got the image of the couple in Paris. This is the only season so far to specifically show other characters, including Louise, Bonnie Prince Charlie, Comte St. Germain, and Mary Hawkins. The key art shows characters that will be important for the start of the season and the setting we can expect for the two.

So, what about Outlander Season 4? Considering Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin will attend New York Comic-Con, it’s clear their characters are important for this season’s story. Those who have read the books know how important they are. So, it would make sense that both of them are included in the key art.
There has also been a focus on Fergus and Marsali and on Young Ian and Rollo. The two of them may feature in the key art. We should also see the Colonies setting since that is where the season will focus for Claire and Jamie.
