Outlander Book 9 daily lines: Not all relationships with Lord John are strained
Diana Gabaldon shows that not all relationships with Lord John are strained Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. Here’s a snippet in her Outlander Book 9 daily lines.
It’s been a long time since I’ve shared something from Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander Book 9 daily lines. There have been a few, so I do recommend checking out her Facebook page for them, but this one caught my attention over the weekend. We get to see that while the relationship between Lord John Grey and Jamie Fraser is strained, not all others with John are.
Of course, there are spoilers in this for those who haven’t read all the books. However, there are no major spoilers for “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone,” as Gabaldon has taken out the juicy plot details herself.
The snippet is a letter to Lord John. At first, it’s not clear who could be writing this letter. Is it Jamie and the relationship is on the mend? Maybe it’s Claire, trying to ease some sort of tension as she is part of it. It’s only in the second paragraph that you find out who it is.

Brianna is writing the letter to Lord John Grey. She wants to keep him up to date with the goings-on at Fraser’s Ridge and that she, Roger, and the children are back from their recent time traveling. It’s also important to point out that she’s looking forward to seeing John and her half-brother William again–although she makes a point in calling William John’s son.
There have been comments about how “boring” the life seems on Fraser’s Ridge at the moment. Gabaldon has stated that she isn’t going to post spoilers. The [plot] means that there’s something juicy in this letter and it will all be worth the wait!
Before the post is a few hashtags. One of those is #goingVERYwellthankyou. Of course, fans of the books want to know when Outlander Book 9 will be released. We’re not expecting it until next year, but it looks like the writing is going according to Gabaldon’s plan and that’s all we really want, right?
