When will Caitriona Balfe start filming Ford vs. Ferrari?
Caitriona Balfe’s new movie with working title Ford vs. Ferrari will start filming soon. Here are all the details you need.
During the seven-month break, the cast of Outlander has a chance to spread its wings. Caitriona Balfe is taking advantage of that with upcoming movie, Ford vs. Ferrari. While that isn’t the actual title (at the moment), it’s the working title. She’ll play the wife of Carroll Shelby, who will be played by Matt Damon in the movie. Now the big question is when Balfe will start filming for the role.
Very little is known about the project so far. Dark Horizons via Production Weekly shares that filming is slated to start on July 30. This would give Balfe a bit of time off now that Outlander Season 4 filming has wrapped. She does have some conventions to attend during July, so it will give her time for them as well.

This date also works for Starfury’s latest announcement that Balfe won’t be able to attend the Outlander UK convention Highlanders 3. This is taking place in the middle of August and she was the only main star slated to attend. The convention hosts are looking for guests to fill her place now.
Considering she is Shelby’s wife and not the main star of the movie, it also fits the rest of Balfe’s convention appearances. So far, only the Birmingham, UK convention has been the one she’s canceled, despite being a few planned for July and August. This suggests over the summer is right.

Filming is set to take place at various locations around the States and will wrap on October 29. Three months for a movie sounds about right.
