In the last days of filming, Sam Heughan is sharing a piece of Outlander fan art each today. Today is a piece that perfectly sums up the first season.

Think your way back to Outlander Season 1. When Claire went through the stones, she was in a time she didn’t know and started to find herself torn between two men–her husband in her own time and the man who would become her husband in the 18th century. To count down the days left to film, Sam Heughan is sharing Outlander fan art each day and today’s piece beautifully and perfectly sums up the first season.

The stunningly talented Joanne Michalak’s artwork shows Claire stood in the center of one of the standing stones at Craig na Dun. Jamie stands on one side and Frank on the other, as she finds herself torn between these two men and the two parts of her life.

Of course, there is the devil in the details. On Jamie’s side is blood splattering, showing the horror and war that she will have to face over the years when she picks Jamie. On Frank’s side is a book with pages ripped out, showcasing his love for history and research. The pages flying away can also represent the loss in his life–the loss of Claire.

You can now get the artwork on your phone cases, coffee mugs, as prints, and much more. There are many other different types of artwork also available. Because it’s so beautiful, there are scrupulous people profiting from Michalak’s artwork, so you need to make sure you only buy from the source. You can visit Society6 and RedBubble for her legitimate visual masterpieces.
