Fans who haven’t read the books need to know if father and daughter will ever meet on Outlander.
The Outlander book fans have all the secrets. They know (most of) the things to come in the series. Ron D. Moore has admitted that while some of the storylines won’t be in order, the basics from the books will happen in the fourth season. That means the answer to this question should be known.
For those who haven’t read the books yet, there are spoilers in here. Of course, that’s probably what you’re here for, right? You want the answers; you want to be spoiled before the season airs.

That’s okay! I was right there with you when I started the series. I am a show-first fan, but I quickly delved into the books. So here are the answers to whether Jamie and Brianna will ever meet.
The short answer
Basically, the answer is “yes.” Jamie and Brianna will eventually meet.
When that will take place isn’t quite as simple. In the books, Brianna realizes that Jamie and Claire are supposed to die in a house fire and she wants to warn them so that doesn’t happen. She goes back in time in Scotland, meeting everyone at Lallybroch first. Of course, Claire and Jamie aren’t there, so she needs to get to America.
That will lead to Brianna and Stephen Bonnet meeting, before Brianna finally meets her father. Whether the books follow everything is unknown, but considering there are some excellent scenes between Brianna, Jenny and Laoghaire, many book fans hope to see it all. I won’t spoil you with all the details.
Expect some quality bonding time
It’s not going to be easy for Jamie and Brianna at first. Even if Outlander doesn’t stick with the whole book storyline, there is going to be some adjusting. Brianna is going from the 20th century to the 18th century. She’s a strong, independent woman who has been through much of the 1960s movements for women, so this personality is going to clash with the 18th century way of life.
Plus, Jamie has to accept his daughter is already a grown woman. In 18th century expectations, Brianna is of an age where she would have been married and expected to start a family. She’s not his little girl and he has to get over the fact that he didn’t see her grow up.
However, there will be some quality bonding time. Brianna will want to know more about her birth father and Jamie will want to learn as much as possible about his daughter. Hopefully Jamie taking Brianna hunting will be part of the series.
The rest of the story will be left open. One, I have no idea how Outlander plans on handling it and two, I don’t want to spoil it all for you. Just know that father and daughter will eventually meet—and they should do in the show, since Sophie Skelton is confirmed for Season 4.
