It’s been a ridiculously long wait, but Droughtlander is almost over. We’re starting November tomorrow, and that means one thing. Outlander season 7B is almost here.

Yes, there is still a bit of a wait on our hands, but we’re getting closer. Outlander season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on STARZ in the U.S. It will air on Sundays on the W Network starting Sunday, Nov. 24 in Canada. Those in other parts of the world will need to check their listings.

It is a weekly release. I prefer weekly releases, but I’m old school and I love to savor the episodes. There’s so much to talk about between the episodes, as well. Plus, if we got it as a binge-watch, Droughtlander would feel even longer!

Outlander season 7B will bring us separation, heartbreak, and more

There is a trailer out for the new episodes. We’ll see some heartbreak, but hopefully, it won’t last for long.

The start of the season is a little more hopeful than a few others. Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian are back in Scotland, which means a time for happy reunions. That’s not the way it stays, though. We can tell from the promo that Claire will head back to America without Jamie.

Then there’s the moment in the trailer that has us worried about Jamie. There’s some sort of “bad news,” but Claire refuses to believe that Jamie is dead. We have looked into whether that’s possible without even looking at book spoilers, so we’re going in with optimism, but it doesn’t mean it won’t be scary at times.

We will get to meet Kristin Atherton as Jenny Murray. The series had to replace Laura Donnelly, who is busy with her Broadway work and has made it clear that she is done with the series. The cast have been extremely positive about Atherton, and we can’t wait to see how she plays the character. There is just a small clip of Jenny hugging Claire in the promo, but it’s from Jenny’s back.

Then there’s Roger and Brianna’s stories. The two are separated by time, with Roger somewhere in the past. It isn’t where he and Buck thought they were going, but why have then ended up in this time? It must have something to do with that man in the World War II pilot jacket.

Brianna is still in 1980, and she needs to figure out how to keep her children safe. Jem may or may not be stuck in the past, and there’s no telling if someone will want to take Mandy next. What will she do now?

Outlander season 7B release schedule

The episodes will come out weekly. We’ll likely get a week break at some point in the schedule. That’s standard for STARZ with any of its shows. The break in Outlander has been mixed. Some times we see the break around the halfway mark, and sometimes we see it just before the last episode.

Either way, with eight episodes to air, it likely means that the Outlander season 7 finale will air Friday, Jan. 17. We’ll know more closer to the time when STARZ confirms the schedule.

Outlander season 8 has already finished filming. The show is in the post-production stage, and we’re expecting it in 2026. After all, we’re expecting Outlander: Blood of My Blood in 2025.

Outlander season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on STARZ.
