Every season sees Claire and Jamie separated for some time. It shouldn’t be that surprising then that we’ll see it happen in Outlander Season 7B.

Yes, this is becoming a bit of a trope in the show. We can blame the books for that. Claire and Jamie are separated at least once in each of the books, and those storylines need to be written into the series.

Entertainment Weekly shares that Claire and Jamie are separated for some time in Outlander Season 7B. We can already tell when that will happen based on the images for the series. We did warn you that Claire would head back to America in the second episode of the half-season to come.

Why Claire and Jamie are separated in Outlander Season 7B

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan shared more about what to expect for Claire and Jamie, and they even teased why the two will be separated. This time, they’re separated by a huge body of water.

Claire will need to head back to America. She finds out that she needs to perform surgery on someone. There is a photo of her healing someone, and if you know the books, you know who that is. In the books, he isn’t the reason Claire goes back, but considering two particular characters aren’t in Outlander Season 7B, it makes sense to have this storyline the reason she goes back.

Jamie remains in Scotland for a while. This leads to Claire learning something that isn’t true. Heughan makes it clear that there is a lot for book fans to look forward to, and we know which storyline in particular is coming up here.
