The Outlander season 7B trailer has a lot for us to break down. The most important question right now is all about Jamie Fraser. What happens to him?

We are NOT going into the book spoilers for this post. Those who have read An Echo in the Bone and Written in My Own Heart’s Blood will know what’s to come. However, I want to focus on the trailer for the second half of the season.

In the trailer, Claire leaves Jamie to help Lord John Grey’s nephew, who was injured in battle. While she is in America, Jamie remains in Scotland, although it’s clear that Jamie makes it back to America eventually. We see him in battle in a blue coat.

As Claire walks into a room with Lord John Grey in tears, he explains that there’s some “bad news” and that “it’s Jamie.” Well, it sounds like Jamie has died, but Claire is in denial at first. She would feel it in her heart if his stopped, because hers would stop too.

Outlander season 7B teases Jamie dying in a battle

The trailer cuts to Jamie in battle facing a man with a musket. This would suggest that Jamie gets back to America. He is fighting for the home that he has there. This isn’t too surprising considering we got a photo of Jamie in his blue coat a while back.

Jamie has always assumed that he would die in battle. He thought Culloden would be his end, and he was ready for that. However, now he has a lot More to fight for, and he’s not ready to die. Is it possible that the Fates don’t care? Will they cut that string?

We only have to look at Outlander season 8 filming to see that Jamie isn’t dead. However, people will believe it for a while. It creates some awesome drama that is sure to have us all on the edges of our seats. We’re so ready for Outlander season 7B.

Outlander season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on Starz.
