Just as we thought that we wouldn’t get to see Moses Valentine again after the latest update, we are treated to his presence in the Miss Scarlet season 6 promo. And he’s not the only character making a return.
Can you believe we’re at the Miss Scarlet season 6 finale already, though? We’re going into another finale without knowing if there will be more to the story, and all we can hope is that PBS sees the need to renew it. We’re loving it, especially with the promise of returns here and there!
Moses Valentine helps out with a case on Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 6
When Moses Valentine returned on Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 3, it was to get help from Eliza. That help wasn’t just for him, as Clarence needed someone to vouch for him after he was framed for murder. Now Moses is back to repay the favor, and it’s going to be a big case.
You see, Moses isn’t the only character to return. During the Miss Scarlet season 5 finale, we met a character called The Governess, and we wondered if we would see her again on the series. It’s taken until the Miss Scarlet season 6 finale to get our answer, and that’s all thanks to the case.
This one is filled with political intrigue as a foreign ambassador has been killed. Of course, The Governess doesn’t want others to find out that there has been this murder, so everyone will need to investigate it discreetly. She’s going to need all those she trusts on the case, which pulls in Eliza and Blake. Of course, once you start bringing in Scotland Yard, there’s sure to be a leak somewhere.

Eliza and Blake see what happens when their relationship comes out
The Miss Scarlet season 6 finale promo doesn’t just put focus on the case. It also puts focus on Eliza and Blake’s relationship. Now that The Governess has learned that the two are officially an item, she makes it clear that the two can’t work together anymore. That wasn’t even the reason why they wanted to keep their relationship a secret, but they’re going to need to decide what to do with this news.
Not only will it mean Scotland Yard will have to rely on other, lesser detectives in London, but this could heavily affect Eliza’s business. She has always managed to get most of her work from Scotland Yard. She’ll need to find other ways to end up on a case, such as she did when it came to the stolen horse.
Is this really the end of their working relationship, though? There has to be a way around it, unless this is a hint that it’s a final season.
Miss Scarlet airs on Sundays at 8/7c on PBS.
