Will the Outlander writers answer questions during Season 5?

Droughtlander is almost over. As we get closer to the premiere, we look at the possibility of the Outlander writers answering our questions.

As we get closer to the premiere of Outlander Season 5, we have a few questions of what’s to come. This isn’t just about what’s to come in the actual storytelling, but of the events that happen around the episodes. The question for today is whether we’ll get any questions answered by the Outlander writers.

After the episodes, the writers try to take to Twitter to answer a few questions. They can share more about why they made decisions in certain aspects of the scripts, a message they were trying to convey in the words, and any changes that happened during filming. However, we saw during Season 4 that the writers wouldn’t get a chance to answer questions every week.

This was because the writers were busy working on the Season 5 scripts. Naturally, the writing of the scripts had to come first, even though filming hadn’t started by that point. Scripts needed to be checked over, put together to make sure there was continuity, and edits would need to be made.

The same could be the case for Outlander Season 6 while the fifth season is on the air. The pre-production work has started and the writers are currently busy at work. However, it takes time to get the scripts into a finished format. So, there’s a chance that some writing will still be happening while the fifth season airs.

Filming for Season 6 is slated to begin in April again, so we’re looking at some of the final weeks of writing for many. There’s a deadline looming, so if we don’t see any answers of the questions on Twitter, it’s likely due to work rather than the writers avoiding us.

However, there’s one particular writer who may be willing and able to answer some questions. Diana Gabaldon wrote Episode 11, so she may be in more of a position when the episode airs to answer some of the questions we may have.
