People’s Choice Awards 2019: Outlander fans out in force for win
The Outlander fans came out in force to vote for the show in one People’s Choice Awards 2019 category. That force paid off!
The People’s Choice Awards is great for Outlander fans. We get a chance to come out in force, voting for the win. This often gets rids of the politics to make sure our favorite show gains the recognition that it deserves.
That force paid off for the People’s Choice Awards 2019. The show won the category The Bingeworthy Show of 2019 during the Nov. 10 award ceremony.

It beat off the likes of 13 Reasons Why, Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things to gain the win. Each of those shows is definitely bingeworthy in their own rights, but they don’t have the backing of the fandom to compete with the Sassenachs. We know that if our actors were included in other categories, we’d have come out in force to make sure they’d have won, too!
This is excellent news for Sassenachs, who are rightfully getting fed up of the politics surrounding other award ceremonies. It’s clear that the show itself or some of the excellent acting isn’t being looked at fairly. Shows that involve a lot of nudity and sex tend to be overlooked, those that are viewed as “eye candy” for women tend to be overshadowed by other shows.
In some cases, the other shows do deserve the awards. But it is time for our show and our actors to get the recognition they all deserve. The People’s Choice Awards shows that this is a show the fans are behind.
