You can currently check out Outlander Season 4 on Amazon Prime Video in the UK, but not everyone has access to the streaming service. Many people wait for the show to come to More4. With Season 3 coming to an end tonight, now there are questions about when the fourth season will premiere.

Don’t expect More4 to air the fourth season immediately. Network TV is about two years behind the United States. There are rumors that the government feared the show would encourage people to vote for Scottish independence, but it could also have been because networks didn’t think the show would perform well on the networks—or that Amazon Prime won the rights.

Season 2 premiered in the summer of 2018. Season 3 premiered in the summer of 2019. We’re looking at Season 4 coming to More4 sometime in the summer of 2020.

This is as long as More4 continues to keep the rights to air the show on network TV. Networks can choose not to renew licenses if not enough people are watching live. This is why it’s important that even if you watch on Amazon Prime that you watch on More4 when it airs. It may be annoying to sit through the commercials, but by watching on the network, you’re helping to keep the show there for those who don’t have access to Amazon Prime.

By the time Season 4 premieres on More4, Season 5 will have aired in the United States and will be on Prime Video UK. However, it will likely be the summer of 2021 by the time the episodes come to More4.
