With just months of writing Outlander Book 9 left, we’re getting ready for the release. For those who enjoy the audiobooks, will Davina Porter narrate?

If you’re anything like me, sitting down to read a book for hours at a time isn’t always possible. You love audiobooks to be able to listen when you drive or when you’re walking the dog. So, you’ll be getting ready for Outlander Book 9 on Audible or another form of audiobook. The big question is whether Davina Porter will be the one narrating again.

Porter has narrated each of the books so far. You’ll be used to hearing her soft voice and the changes she makes so you know who is saying each of the lines. Will you get the same voice or have to get ready for a change?

Davina Porter is planning her return

Don’t worry about a change of narrator. Davina Porter is planning on narrating the ninth book in the Outlander saga. After posting one of her Daily Lines, Diana Gabaldon confirmed that the audiobook narrate is excited to do “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.”

In fact, Gabaldon confirmed that Porter already has some of the chapters for the ninth book. The Audible narrator has been using them for a library presentation she’s been doing.

When will Go Tell the Bees be out on audiobook?

Right now, we don’t have an exact date of “Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone” coming out at all. Gabaldon still has a couple of months left of writing and then it will be up to the publishers. However, the Outlander author has given us some sort of hint for the audiobook.

Most of the time, the audiobook is released at the same time as the hard book version. It’s just the paperback that we’ll have to wait for. This makes sense since there are all sorts of reasons people will want to listen through the audiobook, including those who can’t read due to sight problems. Why make people wait due to disabilities?

So, whatever the date for the book release is, we can expect that to be the date of the audiobook being released.
