Outlander: Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan talk Big House, Adso, and more
When announcing the premiere date for Outlander Season 5, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan shared a little about what to expect, including about Adso.
Last week, Sassenachs around the world learned that Outlander Season 5 would premiere in February. While most of us spotted the announcement via Twitter on the official profile, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan also shared some information through a video on Facebook.
At the end of the video, the two announced the show’s return date. This video also had a Q&A element to it, as the two answered a few questions about filming on the fifth season. It was all shot on set, so there was a chance to see the kitchen of the Big House. There wasn’t much to see, but we did get a very quick glimpse of the fireplace.

Speaking of the fireplace, it turns out that a certain new purr-fect cast member loves to spend his time laying there. Yes, it’s all about Adso, who is happy to lounge around. He’s Balfe’s spirit animal, or so she says.
It also sounds like he’s been getting up to mischief when it comes to the costumes. Someone forgot to clip his nails, and he’s ripped a few costumes. Oops!
Heughan shared a tease when asked about his favorite scene that he’s filmed this season. He couldn’t share too much because of spoilers, but he shared that someone comes back.
The question now is who that person coming back is. We already know a few familiar faces are likely to return, such as Lord John Grey despite the character not being a part of “The Fiery Cross”.
