Outlander Season 5 filming: Cesar Domboy shares footage of behind-the-scenes
Cesar Domboy jumped onto Instagram Stories to share a look at behind-the-scenes of Outlander Season 5 filming. Sam Heughan and Kyle Rees are involved.
There’s more coming from the Outlander Season 5 set. This time, we get a behind-the-scenes look from Cesar Domboy, who shared some of the filming through his Instagram Stories. We got a glimpse of two important people, Sam Heughan and Kyle Rees.
It’s not clear whereabouts in filming the cast and crew are right now. However, it’s likely around the midway point, which makes sense for what looks like to be the militia getting together ready for some sort of battle or skirmish. Will this be against Murtagh or will this be another point of the storyline? We’ll have to wait and see.

What we do know is that not only is Domboy definitely back, which means more Fergus, but that Kyle Rees is back in the action. He was introduced as John Quincy Myers in the fourth season, and it wasn’t clear if he would be back for the upcoming season. This Instagram Stories look certainly confirms that he will be.
It looks like the three actors are somewhere around Fraser’s Ridge. Heughan’s Jamie was tasked with taking down the Regulators at the end of the fourth season, something that doesn’t come up until part way through Book 5 in the novels. Since the writers knew they would have a fifth and sixth season, they were able to bring in elements of the future books to leave fans with a cliffhanger — and a cliffhanger that isn’t quite the same as the novels.
Will Fraser’s Ridge be under siege? Maybe the group of men is heading off to known Regulators? It’s certainly left us excited for Outlander Season 5.
