Outlander’s Bear McCreary at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 for music-themed panel

Bear McCreary is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2019. While it’s not specifically for Outlander, Sassenachs will want to pay attention to his panel.

Outlander itself isn’t heading to SDCC 2019 but there will still be a presence. Bear McCreary is going to be part of that presence, as he heads to San Diego Comic-Con 2019 for a music-themed panel.

While it’s not to talk about our favorite TV show, it may pop up at some point. The main focus of the panel is to talk about “The Music of Monsters.” McCreary will share all about finding the voices of the monsters through music, the importance of themes (we know all about the importance of them, right?) and the unusual instruments he’s chosen for various movies.

We know him best for the music of Outlander, but Bear McCreary has also worked on a number of monster and horror movies, including Child’s Play, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and 10 Cloverfield Lane. He’s one of the greatest composers of his generation and it’s going to be a delight for fans who get to hear him speak about his experiences and thoughts.

The panel will take place on Saturday, July 20 at 5 p.m. It’s an hour long and will be held in room 25ABC for those who are going to be at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

This is just part of the Outlander presence at SDCC 2019. STARZ will include the series in its booth, since it is one of the network’s top-rated shows, and there’s going to be the Fan Panel during the weekend.
