If you’re looking for something to get through Droughtlander, you’ll want to turn to Poldark. The fifth and final season will see Andrew Gower guest star.

We may be in the middle of Droughtlander, but that doesn’t mean we can’t see our favorite (and sometimes not so favorite) Outlander characters in other shows. Okay, the actors in other shows. Andrew Gower is going to be in the fifth and final season of Poldark and, mark me, it will be a role that the Bonnie Prince would approve of.

Taking on another historical character, Gower hasn’t shared the number of episodes he’s in. He was even very vague on the character itself through the Instagram post he shared earlier this year. And there hasn’t been much about the season since. This is a BBC drama first, and the BBC loves to keep as much as possible quiet.

What we do know is that Gower will play James Hadfield. While from a different decade, Hadfield was from the same century as Bonnie Prince Charlie and sort of had similar goals. After all, they both wanted to remove the King of Great Britain off the throne. Granted, they wanted it for different reasons, but I’m sure BCP wouldn’t have minded some of the bloodshed — as long as it wasn’t his own people.

Poldark Season 5 will premiere on BBC One on July 14. There isn’t too long to wait to see Gower in his new role. Just how many “mark me’s” will he get in? It won’t be until the end of September when the series premieres on PBS, Sept. 29 to be exact.
