Continuing the Outlander Season 2 rewatch, we’re onto Episode 6. Here are my five favorite moments from the episode and why.

The Outlander Season 2 rewatch continues. I admit I got a little behind with the episodes thanks to my Netflix account playing up, but I’ve had a chance to start watching again. That means I can share my favorite moments from my rewatch.

More from Top Moments

Episode 6, titled “Best Laid Schemes,” does include a moment I don’t like. I dislike the fact that Jamie breaks his promise without sharing why. I think if Claire knew everything then she wouldn’t have been so angry at Jamie for dueling in the first place. It wouldn’t have changed anything, but I dislike that he kept what happened to Fergus from her.

Regardless, this isn’t about my dislikes. It’s about my five favorite moments from the episode. And it all starts with Murtagh.

5. Claire and Jamie finally telling Murtagh the truth

This had certainly been a long time coming. I thought Murtagh deserved to know much sooner. He was loyal to the Frasers and loved Jamie. It wasn’t that surprising that he was so annoyed that the two were keeping something from him.

We didn’t get to hear the story Jamie told him, but it was clear that he went through it all. And while there were moments of Murtagh’s expression, we very quickly got to the end. We didn’t need to know what he was thinking at the time. All that mattered was that he believed Jamie’s story.

Things clearly started to make more sense to him. And even if he didn’t quite believe it all, he trusted in Jamie and that was enough.
