Terry Dresbach stepped down as the costume designer after the fourth season, and now all eyes are on the person taking over the role. Could Trisha Biggar be the Outlander Season 5 costume designer?

All eyes are currently on the person who will become the Outlander Season 5 costume designer. Terry Dresbach announced her exit just before the fourth season premiered, and we know that Nina Ayres won’t be back either. It looks like Trisha Biggar will be the one to fill the void.

This isn’t confirmed yet. STARZ is yet to make an announcement about the new costume designer. That’s not surprising since there will still be some casting decisions to make and filming hasn’t even started yet. However, an announcement about the new costume designer should come soon.

More from Outlander News

According to Biggar’s resume, she’s going to be the Outlander Season 5 costume designer. The thing that throws me off a little about the addition is that David Brown and Michael Wilson have been listed as producers, when they left the series in 2017, according to IMDb. However, this could have been an oversight on the listing on the resume.

Biggar certainly has experience in creating costumes for period dramas. Works she’s been involved in have included Emerald City, NBC’s Wizard of Oz-inspired series, STARZ’s Da Vinci’s Demons, and all three Star Wars prequel movies. She also recently worked on The Wife, which saw Glenn Close earn her first movie Golden Globe.

The Insider reported that Biggar would join Outlander back in August 2018. However, with just one line, it was easy to overlook this. Notable, this was around the time Dresbach had stepped down and that’s not surprising a decision would be made so early — work on the intricate costumes would have needed to start early.

I’ll keep an eye out for any more signs that Trisha Bigger, who is from Glasgow, will be the Outlander Season 5 costume designer. However, we likely won’t get the same social interaction with Biggar as we had with Dresbach throughout the series up to this point.
