Outlander stars not photographed at the Oscars after party isn’t sinister!

Some Outlander fans are in arms about Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan not being photographed together at the Oscars after party. This honestly isn’t anything to worry about!

Both Outlander stars, Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, attended the Oscars after party and looked stunning doing so. However, some fans have been quick to complain about the lack of photos of the two together, going as far as suggesting they’re not the great friends they suggest they are.

Honestly, I’ve got to say the jumping to conclusions is often crazy! There’s absolutely nothing to worry about when it comes to the friendship between Balfe and Heughan. It’s extremely clear that they’re close friends and there are plenty of reasons why they likely didn’t get photos together.

One of those reasons — if I want to jump into controversy — is that it would create this social media storm. Outlander fans would immediately jump onto Twitter and Facebook up in arms about the two not being seen together once. Obviously, that means something bad <– insert sarcasm there.

The most likely reasons are as follows:

• They weren’t at the party at the same time
• There were hundreds of people there and they didn’t see each other
• There were photos but they didn’t turn out great by the photographer and couldn’t be used

Even if there were photos of them together, that doesn’t mean they’re going to be shared! In all honesty, the Oscar winners would have been the more important people for the photographers to get photos of at the after party. Those who had been nominated would also be more important than other guests. It really is as simple as that.

But more importantly, the social media banter makes it extremely clear that Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan are good friends. Balfe wasted no time in commenting about the bowtie, while Heughan fired back about the hole in her dress. It was all in good fun, they got the jokes with each other, and it’s clear they are very happy with their relationship.

I’m not sure why there is a worry about the two not being photographed together. It’s not a snub and it’s nothing to be concerned about. It would have all been simply business.
