Outlander ratings at a season high for Season 4 penultimate episode
Brianna and Roger pulled in season-high ratings in the Outlander Season 4 penultimate episode. Can the season end on a high?
Outlander Season 4, Episode 12 ratings are in. The Brianna and Roger-centric episode pulled in the highest viewer ratings for the whole season, suggesting that the season could end on a high.
According to TV Series Finale, the total audience saw a 0.40% increase and the demo saw a 14.29% increase. Considering the fact that it was the penultimate episode, it’s not that surprising. We knew that this was going to include a lot of drama from the books, and many had hoped there would be more on Roger’s story at the Mohawk village.

More on Roger is exactly what happened. Arguably, Episode 12 delivered the best episode of the whole season. Both Roger and Brianna got plenty of development, as we saw them take steps in attempting to look out for themselves. Brianna got some of the closure she needed, while Roger realized that he could never look out for number one.
What does this mean for the future of the show? Hopefully, it’s a sign of things to come on Sunday. With it being the finale, there’s a strong chance of a season high. This episode will see Claire and Jamie (who were seen for about 10 seconds this week) and will likely see Brianna give birth and Roger finally rescued.
As for the future of the series overall, the ratings meant little this season. STARZ doesn’t release its app views, so it’s impossible to see just how many people actually watched Outlander Season 4. While Nielsen can count the live ratings from the likes of Hulu or other internet TV companies, it can’t get the ratings direct from the STARZ app.
Also, Outlander has already been renewed for two seasons. The ratings for Seasons 5 and 6 will be more important to see if the series will be renewed further.
However, the season high is definitely a pride boost. We can say that our show has pulled in more eyes in the second half, which isn’t common.
