There were moments we cheered for our characters, hoped against everything that they would come through the other side unharmed (more than they already were, anyway). We had moments of laughter and beauty. It’s time to delve into the episode and look at the top five moments.
As I’ve done in the past, I’ve worked with TV Time to put together this list. There may be some surprising moments that the fans voted on.
5. The proposal
Wasn’t it just adorably sweet? Young Ian is completely smitten with his cousin. While today we look at this sort of relationship with a shiver, in the past, cousins marrying each other was pretty normal. However, Brianna definitely won’t consider it.
That didn’t stop Young Ian trying to do what was right. If they don’t find Roger, he doesn’t want to see Brianna ruined socially. So, he offered to marry her.
I don’t know what was funnier in this scene. There was Young Ian’s proposal, Brianna’s shocked face, Claire’s “I can’t believe he’s doing this” moment, or Jamie telling his nephew to stand up. Everything just fit together so well.
