3. Offering Brianna a choice without judgment
Finding out Brianna is pregnant was one thing for Claire. Then she learned that Brianna had been raped. It was devastating for her to hear as a mother and now she had to help Brianna consider her options.
Abortion or have the baby? That’s what Brianna had to choose and Claire decided to give her daughter all the information she’d need. Not only did Claire make the suggestion of abortion, but she was also honest about the chances of the baby being Roger’s.
More importantly, Claire offered Brianna a choice without judgment. She was honest and caring throughout.
