Poor, Roger! He certainly didn’t have the best of episodes in Outlander Season 4, Episode 10. But he did have some strong moments and here are his top three.

Roger Wakefield MacKenzie has definitely not had the best of times in the past. Threatened with his life, forced away from Brianna, beaten by Jamie, and now sold to the Mohawk’s, Roger had his worst episode yet on Outlander Season 4, Episode 10.

More from Top Moments

It’s hard to see that there could be any good moments in the episode. However, he had some strong moments, showing his character development and what he’s willing to do. There were moments I was on the edge of my seat and here are my three favorite moments from “The Deep Heart’s Core.”

3. Finding a way to escape

Roger didn’t initially fall down the ridge to escape. He collapsed but he used it all to his advantage. While the Mohawk tried to pull him up, Roger realized that he could get his second hand free — the first coming free in the fall. This was his chance to escape.

While some may have feared the fall, he wasn’t willing to allow himself to remain a prisoner. He quickly worked his hand free, while in pain from gravity pulling him down and hanging just by his wrist, and managed to figure out a way to escape.

There were times I was sure he would be caught again, but he managed to find a hiding spot. Personally, I’d have moved a little further away from the main section and hidden out until dark but he took off and found a way to escape. He made a promise to himself to do it and he managed it.
