When is the Outlander Season 4 finale on STARZ?
STARZ has released its January listings and that means a date for the Outlander Season 4 finale is official. When will we enter into Droughtlander?
STARZ has now shared its listings for January 2019. This list is everything that is coming to and leaving the service, which includes the dates that Outlander will air new episodes. With this, we get the Outlander Season 4 finale date.
Droughtlander is sadly almost upon us. The official finale date is Jan. 27, 2019. This is much earlier than expected, with many of us thinking there would be a break over the holiday season. There was hope a small break now would help to soften the blow of what could be a long Droughtlander between Seasons 4 and 5.

Unfortunately, Outlander Season 5 filming isn’t starting until around February. That means the fourth season will be over before the stars are even back on the set. It takes about nine months to film a season and then there’s the post-production stage, so we’re looking at around January 2020 at the earliest for the fifth season to begin.
The good news is January 2020 will mean a shorter Droughtlander than between Seasons 2 and 3, but it’s still long and it’s going to be hard.
Of course, the finale date does mean that there are no pesky weeks off in the middle of the season. There were the odd weeks off here and there in previous seasons, including Season 2 where there was a week off between the penultimate episode and the finale! How excruciating would that be?
Now that we know when Droughtlander is, we can get ready for it. It’s time to get ourselves prepared with the books, other TV shows, and more to make it through Droughtlander.
