It’s time to look back at the moment Claire wandered the island for 20 minutes of an episode. Love it or hate it, this week in Outlander history is all about the first airing of Uncharted.

This week in Outlander history saw Claire and Jamie reunited. It came after a 20-minute focus of Claire wandering the island alone. Yes, this week saw Outlander Season 3, Episode 11 air for the first time.

I know this is one of those episodes that people either loved or hated. And there was definitely a lot of hate. It’s one of those episodes that I appreciate more after watching it a few times. It pulled out Claire’s ability to survive and did have some highly amusing moments.

However, there’s one moment that stands out the most for me: Fergus and Marsali’s wedding. Not only do the two get married but we see that beautiful moment between Fergus and Jamie. As it looks like Fergus can’t marry because he doesn’t know his surname, Jamie makes it clear that Fergus is a Fraser.

We’d known it since the day Fergus came into the Frasers’ lives. It was clear that Jamie viewed this young French orphan as his son and Fergus was completely loyal to “Mi Lord” as a son would be to his father. But the words were never said. It was the perfect wedding present to give.

Of course, the episode ended with the turtle soup scene. After catching her arm on a branch while running to Jamie so he didn’t leave the island without her (because as all stories go, there’s a convenient plot point in book and show where the two end up stranded on the exact same island), it gets infected. With an alcoholic turtle soup and delirious from the infection, there is a hot and steamy moment on the ship to Jamaica.

While this episode may have started slow, it finished with everything to love.
