Outlander Season 4: Everything we know with two months to go
Young Ian will form a bond with Rollo
If there’s one thing to take from promo photos, it’s that Rollo will become a major character in the series. He’s the only one who won’t get a “speaking” part but will instantly win fans’ hearts. Yes, he’s the four-legged character.
Rollo was the first new character of Outlander Season 4 cast, long before they started filming. They needed a puppy to help get used to the cast and the filming. It’s certainly paid off well seeing some of the behind the scenes footage. There are actually two pups playing the one role and they are adorable.
Young Ian and Rollo will form a strong bond in the Colonies, although Claire won’t exactly initially be happy about a dog around. This is more than a dog. He’s part wolf and Book Claire had an extremely bad experience with wolves. We didn’t see that in the first season of the series, so it will be interesting to see if that changes at all.
Number of episodes and premiere date
There will be 13 episodes in Outlander Season 4. A fifth and sixth season have both been confirmed and will have 12 episodes each. There’s going to be a seven-month break between filming Season 4 and Season 5, which puts the question of when the show will premiere in question.
As for Outlander Season 4, we have a definite premiere date. There are just two months left so get Nov. 4 penned into your diary. The show will air on STARZ in the United States (and will be available on the STARZ App from midnight on the day of the release), on W Network in Canada, and will be available through the deal with Stan in Australia.
UK should still be able to watch the show 24 hours later on Amazon Prime Video. However, UK and Germany fans can now get the STARZ app through Amazon Prime.
