5. Seeing Claire and Frank’s relationship
Now, it’s easy to remember Claire and Frank with their strained relationship. We didn’t get to see much of the two happy. This is where the Outlander series premiere instantly wins. For a good three-quarters of the episode, we get to see the two happy together.
Their marriage isn’t perfect, but then I don’t know a marriage that is. There are certainly times when the two look like they’re only just getting to know each other and that’s perfect for the situation. Remember they married just before the war and then saw each other 10 times during the six-year war.

But we got to see them rediscover each other. They were still in this honeymoon period. After all, they were on their second honeymoon.
Every interaction this have shows that they’re still learning more about each other. Well, Claire is certainly learning more about Frank.
It’s also important to see that the relationship is a little one-sided. Claire has gone on this second honeymoon with Frank so he can learn more about his ancestor rather than completely connect with Claire. Is it any wonder that bond between them wasn’t overly strong?
How can that be a best moment? Well, it foreshadows everything that is about to come.
