Outlander Season 4 premiere date quietly announced or mistake?

Starz may have quietly announced the Outlander Season 4 premiere date. Of course, it could have just been a mistake in marketing.

If you take a look at one of the videos on Starz’s Facebook page, there’s the Outlander Season 4 promo with a slight change from all the others. The end of the promo has the date “November 4.” All other promos have just said the series is returning in November. Has the Outlander Season 4 premiere date been quietly announced or was this just a mistake?

It could have been accidentally left in. There’s been no official word from Starz through a press release and surely something like this would warrant big news. The date may have been added in at one point and then removed from other promo materials because it wasn’t completely locked in place. However, this video went out without the change.

However, November 4 is a good time for the premiere date. I’ve already shared that it’s one of two potential premiere dates in November. While I did consider the People’s Choice Awards to cause a small problem, Starz won’t need to worry too much about what another network is doing, especially a network the size of E!.

With the Outlander Season 4 premiere date set for November 4, there would be plenty of time to get a good chunk of the season out before the Christmas break, presuming there will be two weeks off over Christmas. Starz could get seven out of 13 episodes aired before the new year.

Depending on when the show returned, we’d be looking at a finale date of between February 10 and 24 next year. This would wrap the show just in time for Outlander Season 5 to start filming.

The other date I thought would work was November 18. That would still work, but we’re looking at just five episodes. The benefit with that is we’re looking at a finale date in March 2019, which could help to keep Droughtlander a little shorter waiting for Season 5.
