Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe sign autographs during Outlander Season 4 filming

It may be a bank holiday in the UK this Monday, but Outlander Season 4 is still filming. That didn’t’ stop Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe stopping to sign autographs.

The UK is currently enjoying beautiful weather during the second of two May bank holiday weekends. Opting for Outlander Season 4 filming on a day many are off work has worked out well for fans. Many have flocked to Cumbernauld Glen to spot their favorites in action, and their favorites stopped to sign a few autographs.

It looks like the team finally have the weather they’ve needed to turn Scotland in the North Carolina. The weather is the 18th-century Colonies is supposed to be hot and sticky, with many passages in the books describing the sweat that falls down brows and backs. However, the showrunners have remained in Scotland for filming, which saw some of this coldest weather during the winter.

Bank holidays are traditionally rainy for the British, but this week has gone against expectations. The sun was out and the weather gloriously warm to create the effect of a balmy North Carolina. That will certainly make some of the acting easier.

Fans have dropped images they took of the Outlander Season 4 filming on social media. Many of them are just poses from the cast, especially Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, who both stopped to sign autographs for the fans.

Some of the photos are certainly interesting, with Heughan looking a little worse for wear. Some fans wonder if they’re finally filming the infamous Bear Killer scenes, which were confirmed as being part of Outlander Season 4 earlier this year.
