Christmas has come early, not just once, but twice, as Outlander season 5 and 6 has been confirmed by the network.
What better way to help fans through Droughtlander than renewing the series? But not just the renewal for season 5 but for season 6 as well. That’s right Outlander season 5 and 6 has been confirmed by Starz.
The network unveiled the news today, May 9, to the entire world. Fans of the show, based on the books by Diana Gabaldon, will be jumping up and down in excitement at the fact that they can look forward to seeing Claire and Jamie on their screens for not just one but two more seasons.

It was anticipated that Outlander would be renewed for a fifth season but few thought that it would be given the go-ahead for a sixth season at the same time. This must have been what the negotiations were all about.
And if that wasn’t enough, the season 5 and 6 renewal was not the only announcement made. They say all things come in threes and it is certainly the case today. Outlander season 4 has been given an approximate premiere date. Season 4 will begin in November this year, 2018.

No specific date in November was given but at least we know how many months we have left of Droughtlander to cross off now. It’s later than we expected or hoped, but at least there’s light at the end of the Droughtlander tunnel.
