The end of Droughtlander is finally in sight. After being told “coming in fall 2018,” Outlander Season 4 has a premiere month. It’s just a bit later than we all expected.
When Outlander was renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 together, we knew that it was good news. It meant Droughtlander would be a lot shorter than the one between Seasons 2 and 3. Many of us hoped that the series would premiere its fourth season around the same time of year as its third season premiere.
At the end of the Outlander Season 3 finale, we learned that the fourth season would, in fact, premiere in fall 2018. That was great, but fall is a three month period. Just how long would we really have to wait? Many of us hoped it definitely meant September, but then there was a suggested October date.

We will have to wait longer than we hoped, but at least there’s a light at the end of Droughtlander’s tunnel. There’s an end of the Claire and Jamie void in sight.
Outlander Season 4 is premiering in November 2018. This is technically fall, even though it often feels like winter.
When in November 2018?
Right now, we know nothing more than that. Without a trip through the stones, there is no way we could say for certain when the show will air.
There are high chances that Starz will keep it on a Sunday night. Season 3 faired well on Sunday, increasing the viewership by almost 50%. It was something to look forward to at the end of the weekend for many. So, if it does stick to Sundays, we’re looking at either Nov 4, 11, 18, or 25.
Thanksgiving weekend would be a questionable date for the premiere. While families are together, not many will want to gather around the TV to watch Outlander. That will rule out Nov. 25.
Nov. 4 would be good. It’s a day before Bonfire Night in the UK, which has historic routes in England and Scotland. It’s also close enough to October to make fans a little happier with the wait. We can hope, right?
