Outlander Season 4 filming: Another filming block finished

Outlander Season 4 is filming in blocks. They’ve reached the end of another block, but what does it mean for the series?

For those who don’t know, Outlander films in blocks. In fact, every show tends to film in blocks. They’re small project milestones to reach and help to determine whether filming is on schedule or something needs to change in the future. Outlander Season 4 has just wrapped on another block of filming.

Now fans are curious. What does this mean for the series? Are they on track? Will they need a little extra time to complete? Will we have a premiere date soon?

A block of action and fiery material

The recent block is one that has seen a lot of action and drama. We’ve had fiery scenes–although it’s not clear which house was on fire!–and photo leaks that show a certain two people are finally getting to meet properly for the first time. This is hopefully going to be one exciting block when the episodes air.

Now Outlander filming is on the final three episodes. This is going to partially set up the storyline for Season 5. I won’t spoil too much for those who haven’t read “Drums of Autumn” yet, but the final episodes will likely focus on Brianna and Roger together. I’ll go into more detail in a spoiler-filled post later today for those who want it.

What it means for the Outlander Season 4 premiere

So far, there isn’t a premiere date set. Getting to the end of this block may be a sign that Sony and Starz are ready to think about setting an exact date for the season premiere. Outlander has always stated that it will return in fall 2018, but that’s a three-month window! We need an exact date.

Getting to this point may mean that another teaser or promo will drop soon. There was some hope that Starz would drop something on April 17, but that date came and went with nothing. The last teaser we had was back in January, so Starz will want to drop something soon to keep up the excitement for the series. Maybe the teaser can come with confirmation of Outlander Season 5.
