While Laoghaire is a character many Outlander fans love to hate, she’s also an interesting character. Here’s a look at why I actually enjoy moments she’ll turn back up.
When Laoghaire was first introduced in Outlander, we never really expected the future outcome, did we? This wasn’t a girl we expected to claim Claire was a witch or force her way onto Jamie. However, she’s become that character so many love to hate and has even earned the affectionate nickname “LegHair.”
However, she’s an intriguing and fascinating character. I look forward to seeing her come to the screens because there’s going to be some sort of excitement. And Nell Hudson is a talented member of the cast.
You don’t quite know what to expect

Okay, if you’ve read the books, you do! But then there’s no guarantee that her character will remain the same. Just look at the changes in Season 2 to make Season 3’s storyline work. It’s possible that other changes could happen, although the bones of the story will remain.
Even when you do know what to expect in the books, there’s still the acting and the overall storyline playing out. Laoghaire isn’t a highly predictable character and has already proven she’s willing to let someone die to get her own way.
There aren’t many females that act like that. We see it a lot from the men, but not so much from the women, making her interesting.
She’s a reactive character
When Laoghaire is around, you know you’re going to get explosive moments. There will be drama and arguments. After all, she’s a highly explosive character.
Laoghaire on-screen means that you will always get drama. There will always be something happening around her and that means more exciting TV.
There’s definitely a couple of things coming that will be entertaining to watch play out. One of those has to be Laoghaire finding out her daughter Marsali married Fergus while they were in Jamaica. And then there are those photos shared that hint Laoghaire and Brianna will come face to face.
