Sam Heughan’s New Job-Audiobook Narrator

Watch out long time Outlander audiobook narrator Davina Porter, Sam Heughan might be after her job. It was announced via social media he would be lending his beautiful Scottish voice to the audiobook for Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy.

Outlander’s Sam Heughan can add audiobook narrator to his expanding resume. While many Outlander fans are overjoyed of Sam’s new job prospects but it left many asking the question, what is Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy?

Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy is a series of novellas featuring the character Simon from the Cassandra Clare bestselling book series The Mortal Instruments. In collaboration with other writers, Clare has released a new novella every month since February of 2015.  The series will contain a total of 10 novellas. The series is only available in e-book and audio download.

Sam will be lending his voice to the eighth short story called The Fiery Trial. If Outlander fans find the title familiar it is because Diana Gabaldon has a book titled The Fiery Cross. Cassandra Clare made the announcement of Sam’s involvement in the project on social media. It is unsure if Sam took time off from filming Outlander to take part in the narration of Shadowhunter Academy or if had been done months before. The audiobook will be available for purchase September 22nd.

Sam is always looking for a new experience and adventure. As his popularity grows so will the opportunities. He has been cast as the lead actor in Oxford, a major motion picture. His charity for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars and crowned Radio Times TV Champion 2015. The only thing left for Sam is for him to become a Disney prince. He is already a prince among men.
