When we learned that The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 would be the last, we weren’t all too surprised. After all, each season was based on each book in the trilogy, and with the third book being the last, it made sense that the third season would also be the last.
Then it came to the episodes. As Belly and Jeremiah’s relationship ended in episode 8, we knew that we’d get three episodes to tell us how Conrad won Belly back. Nothing went the way we expected, and we have to admit that we were a little worried that The Summer I Turned Pretty wouldn’t end with Belly and Conrad actually getting back together.
They have, but it’s come with some more bad news. There wasn’t the big wedding that we were hoping for, and that means we need The Summer I Turned Pretty season 4.
There isn’t going to be a fourth season of The Summer I Turned Pretty
However, Prime Video hasn’t decided against the decision to make season 3 the last. It was promoted as the final season, and that’s the way it’s staying.
The Summer I Turned Pretty season 4 isn’t happening. The TV show’s story is ending with Belly and Conrad together but not married yet. I don’t feel like the final three episodes were a waste as we got some growth for a few characters, but I do wish that we got to see the wedding.
There is some good news about the Conrad-Belly wedding
While the fourth season isn’t happening, there is some good news for fans. The Summer I Turned Pretty is getting a movie to wrap up the rest of the story. While we don’t have explicit confirmation that it will be all about Conrad and Belly getting married, that’s what we’re hoping for and expecting at this point.
The third season ended with Conrad going to see Belly in Paris and pouring his heart out to her. However, she didn’t want to change her current life for him or for him to change her life for her. After all, how did they know that they did love each other? Belly wasn’t sure about it until Conrad walked away, and then she knew.
We got to see the two happy together, but also enjoying time as just boyfriend-girlfriend. They spent summers and Christmases together, but there were no talks of marriage by the end of the series. Hopefully, the movie gives us the epilogue to the book.
