3 reasons we know Jamie won't die in Outlander season 7B (and it's not because of the books)
The Outlander season 7B trailer wants us to believe that Jamie Fraser will die. Well, that can’t happen, right? Look, there are a few reasons we know it won’t happen.
We’re not going into the book spoilers in this post. This has nothing to do with what the books tell us what happens to Jamie. This is all about what we know about the series. So, non-book fans, you can be safe knowing that I’m giving you compelling reasons for Jamie still to be alive without telling you what’s to come.
We’ve seen Jamie Fraser in Outlander season 8 scenes
Do you remember those leaked photos from Outlander season 8? They made it clear that a fair few of our favorite characters are making it to the end. Jamie was one of those characters.
There is still a lot of story to come for Jamie. And sure, he could be a ghost in Outlander season 8, but considering the way the leaked photos looked, that’s very unlikely. This show has given us ghosts before, but not for a whole season storyline.
So, that right there is telling you that Jamie isn’t going to die.
By the way, even if there weren’t any leaked photos from filming, we know that Sam Heughan was in the final season. He was there at the final table read and for much more than that. Jamie is coming back.
There’s still too much surrounding him
There are still a lot of storylines that connect back to Jamie. One of those is William learning that Jamie is his father. That has to happen eventually, right? And we need Jamie alive to see William and Jamie interact in some way.
Again, the leaked photos from Outlander season 8 tell us that something is coming. We can see William is around Jamie, and he has more of a reddish colored hair, almost like he’s embracing the red-head side of him.
This is Claire and Jamie’s story
At the end of the day, this is Claire and Jamie’s story. In the novels, it’s Claire’s story about Jamie. At least, the first two novels are. In the series, we get the story of Claire and Jamie. There is no story without the two of them. I don’t think I could watch Claire moping around for a whole season if something happened to Jamie.
So, the series has to end with the two of them alive or in a Notebook fashion. It’s the only logical ending, right? That means Jamie isn’t dying any time soon.
Outlander season 7B premieres on Friday, Nov. 22 on Starz.
