Starz releases teaser for The Couple Next Door, but when will it arrive?
Starz has a few shows coming up that we’re excited about. One of those is The Couple Next Door, which stars Sam Heughan as a rather questionable character.
The series has already aired in the UK. Starz promised us it sometime in 2024, and then we’ve just had silence. It seems a little odd that fans in the UK have already had a chance to watch it and we’re still waiting. A small delay is normal, but this is getting excessive.
Well, Starz has finally shared a little about it. We have a teaser trailer, which gives us a hint of what to expect. We also has a release month, which has us questioning the “2024” release previously stated.
The Couple Next Door teaser trailer and release season
The teaser gives us a look at the four main characters. Eleanor Tomlinson and Alfred Enoch play Evie and Pete, a new couple that moves into a wealthy neighborhood. Jessice De Gauw’s Becka is happy to see some “new blood” moving into the area, which certainly sets up a storyline that could involve trouble. Then there’s Sam Heughan’s Danny, who is Becka’s husband and a police officer.
We see that the two couples seem to connect, and not in innocent ways. Danny says “she’s obsessed with me” at one point, which is likely referring to Evie, and there is a fight between Danny and Pete in the streets. We also see Evie asking Pete if he’s ever fantasized her with him and someone else, which could open the door to Danny being invited into their bed.
Hugh Dennis, Kate Robbins, and Katie Clarkson-Hill also star in the series, but they aren’t in the teaser trailer much to give us an idea of what to expect of their characters. We do see Dennis’s character stood in his window with a telescope, clearly watching Evie through her window.

As for the release season, we’re told The Couple Next Door will premiere on Starz “this winter.” There is no year mentioned. Considering winter officially starts at the end of December, it’s possible that we’re not getting it in 2024 anymore. Could we have to wait until January 2025?
