Outlander showrunner teases things for Brianna in Season 7B
The end of Outlander Season 7A saw Brianna and Roger separated by time. Roger headed to the past with Buck to find Jemmy, while Bree remained in 1980 with Mandy.
While Roger searches in the past, Matt B. Roberts shared with TVLine what Brianna will do in her own time. She’s alone, but she needs to keep hoping that Roger will get back to her. In fact, it looks like she is planning for Roger to come back.

Roberts shares that Brianna will have a struggle to “survive.” This is an interesting word considering Bree is in 1980. This should be a safer time period for her compared to the 18th century. And yet, it looks like there is trouble.
During Season 7A, we learned that Rob Cameron had taken Jemmy. It looked like Rob was taking Jemmy through the stones to find the gold—gold that only Jemmy knew was buried.
If Bree needs to “survive” something, it suggests that someone else is working with Rob. Could they go after Mandy, leading to a threat against Brianna? What if Rob Cameron didn’t take Jemmy to the past. This could lead to immediate danger for Brianna and her family.
Bree needs to keep her family whole in Outlander Season 7B
There is more to tease. Brianna will need to keep her “family whole.” She needs to prepare for Roger to come back.
The problem is that Bree doesn’t know when Roger will come back. He will only return once he has found Jemmy, so that could mean Bree is left alone for years. She needs to put on a brave face for Mandy, making sure that her daughter is raised happy and healthily while her husband and son are gone.
What’s interesting, though, is that Roberts says that Bree is making sure “Roger” has something to come back to. He doesn’t mention Jemmy, which hints that Jemmy isn’t in the past and Bree knows it. Of course, book fans know what’s happened to Jemmy, but show-first fans don’t. We’re going to leave this as a tease for now, but we will get into the spoilers in another post.
