Outlander Season 7B isn't coming in September, but we're close to the release date
We are more than ready to see the next part of Outlander. It’s time for Droughtlander to come to an end. Sadly, Starz doesn’t think so.
You’ve all been following the release date news, right? You know it’s not coming in September 2024. This does make some sense, to be honest. September is the time for a lot of broadcast shows to return, so it makes sense for the premium cable networks and the streamers to avoid this month for bigger shows.
Why compete when you don’t need to? There are better months to bring Outlander Season 7B.
Outlander Season 7B release date
The Outlander Season 7B premiere date is officially set for Friday, Nov. 22. As usual, we’ll get episodes at midnight ET on the Friday morning, which means those on the West Coast get to watch it at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21. Lucky!
The episode will then air on the Starz channel at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Be thankful that this isn’t like HBO where we have to wait for the channel release time to get the episode on streaming!
We're hoping for a full trailer soon. Maybe toward the end of September we'll get one.
What to expect in Outlander Season 7B
The series remains relatively quiet about things to come. Of course, we have the books, and we know that this season covers Books 7 and 8, An Echo in the Bone and Written in My Own Heart’s Blood.
Bree and Roger’s storylines are from Written in My Own Heart’s Blood. Roger is now in the past with Buck as he searches for his son. Bree is in the present day (for the show) and is with Mandy as she figures out what to do next. You know where Jemmy is if you’ve read the books, but Roger and Bree don’t.
Roger hasn’t gone back to the time period he expected to. Instead, he is further back in time, and there is an important reason for this. It all links to his father.
Meanwhile, Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian have made it back to Scotland. This gives us a chance to see Jenny and Ian to see how they’re doing, and it’s not all that great.
Of course, when you look at the promotional material, it is clear that Claire and Young Ian, at least, get back to America. There’s an image of Jamie in a blue coat, so you’ll know what that means without even knowing the books. Yes, he has to get back to continue his fight in the Revolutionary War.
There is a lot to happen in the eight episodes that will air this fall. Get ready for Outlander Season 7B on Friday, Nov. 22 on Starz.
