Sophie Baek gets a Cinderella story in Bridgerton Season 4

The novel An Offer from a Gentleman is a retelling of Cinderella’s story. We have the daughter of a deceased man and an evil stepmother. Of course, there are the evil stepsisters as well.

Sophie is Cinderella. She is the illegitimate daughter of the late Earl of Penwood. With her mother dead, she is forced to work for her stepmother to keep a roof over her head. That stepmother? She just happens to be Araminta Gun, who will be played by Harry Potter’s Katie Leung.

Araminta has been married twice, and both those men have died. Now she is back looking to gain a new place in society, and she’s doing that through her daughters. It’s time to head to the ball in the hope of finding a husband for at least one of her daughters.

Her elder daughter Rosamund has her sights set on Benedict Bridgerton, the brother who is not ready to settle down. That is until he meets his Lady in Silver at the ball. Who could that be? Well, we know, but it takes a while for Benedict to figure it out.

Araminta isn’t going to let anyone step in her way of a good place in society. Rosamund wants to make her mom proud, so that means she’ll do whatever it takes to get Benedict. Sophie has a fight on her hands if she wants a chance at love with a Bridgerton man.

Bridgerton Season 4 is currently in production and is expected to arrive in 2026.
