Bridgerton Season 4 reportedly starts filming this month
During the summer, we learned that we may have a long wait on our hands for Bridgerton Season 4. There is the chance that we won’t get to watch it until 2026. It looks like it could be early 2026 based on some filming information.
A fan took to Reddit to share some exciting news. Bridgerton Season 4 will start filming this month.
This update came from an X post, which had a screenshot from what looks like a site for filming updates. It says that Bridgerton Season 4 will start filming on Monday, Sept. 16.
Will Bridgerton Season 4 take more than a year to film?
Now fans are questioning whether we really will have to wait until 2026 for the new season. The truth is that filming this series could take that long. It can take six to eight months to get through eight episodes of a period drama. You can ask Outlander fans all about that.
After this, there is the post-production work. That can take just as long as production. While period dramas don’t have the same level of CGI as fantasy and sci-fi shows, there is still some CGI needed. Gutters need to be removed from buildings, and the tops of regency buildings need to be added in.
Then there is Netflix to consider. The streamer doesn’t want too many big shows coming out all at once. It will need to spread out the releases to keep people subscribing.
With production starting in September, we’re likely looking at production wrapping in May 2025. This could mean the series is ready for the end of 2025 at a pinch, but we’re likely looking at the beginning of 2026. It’s a long wait, but the season of Benedict Bridgerton will be worth it! Now it’s time to get ready for any leaks that come out.
