Are you ready for more of Miss Eliza Scarlet? Of course you are, and there’s some excellent news. Miss Scarlet season 6 will premiere just when we expected.

The premiere date arrived rather quietly, so you’ll be forgiven for missing it. We certainly did until we went digging for it! This is not a show to miss, especially when it comes to seeing some excellent detective skills in the late 1800s.

Miss Scarlet season 6 premieres soon

Since most of the premiere dates have been in January, especially once the show grew its audience, we expected the same for Miss Scarlet season 6. PBS has not disappointed, setting the date for Sunday, Jan. 11. It will air at the usual time of 8/7c on the linear network.

Now comes the rather exciting news for those who have PBS Passport. You will be able to watch the show a month earlier. The premiere will drop on Sunday, Dec. 11 on the app, and then the episodes will be released weekly. Just keep in mind that once the show premieres on the linear channel, it will no longer be on the Passport. However, you will be able to watch on PBS Masterpiece.

What to expect on Miss Scarlet season 6

The sixth season is set to pick up off the back of season 5, which saw Inspector Alexander Blake accept that not all private detectives are unscrupulous people. Eliza Scarlet wants to solve cases, and she is one of the best people to have on the job.

At the same time, there was an attraction there that neither of them could deny. So, now we have two people navigating the world of relationships after broken hearts (for very different reasons). Eliza is still nursing the broken heart of her Duke leaving her for New York, and Blake is still grieving the death of his wife.

There is someone (maybe The Governess?) offering some words of advice to Eliza in the promo for Miss Scarlet season 6, suggesting that she stay away from men. A man will only look out for themselves, but is that really the case?

We’ll get to meet a couple of new people Eliza and Blake will cross paths with. Sam Buchanan joins the series as Detective George Willows, how has risen through the ranks of policing to join Scotland Yard. Grace Hogg-Robinson will join as Isabel Summers, an ambitious woman who joins the Clerical Office, who is sure to have some issues with Ivy!

While we may not get to see Nash on the screen, it looks like he’s still managing to cause problems for Eliza. Well, of course he is!

Miss Scarlet season 6 premieres on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 8/7c on PBS.
