The promotional images for Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 7 are out. While the synopsis tells us that Simon Fraser is pushing for a wedding, there’s another major milestone involving the baby happening.
As you would expect, there’s a baptism. Simon Fraser may be a superstitious man, but he is still a man of the time. That means he’s religious, and he will follow customs, such as baptizing what he believes is his baby.
Meanwhile, we get a look at more of Ellen’s storyline, as she ends up in the middle of the village with Dougal. There’s also a brief look at Henry’s storyline, as he seems to come back to reality.
Simon Fraser will baptize ‘his’ baby in Outlander: Blood of My Blood
The main images are focused on the baptism that’s to come. Julia doesn’t get a choice in the matter, which was pretty standard for the time period. Simon believes this baby to be his, and she needs to go along with the story for as long as she can. At least, until she can find a way to get through the stones.
Of course, she may start to have questions about whether she can travel with a baby. It was fine while pregnant, but nobody really understands time travel. Except for Master Raymond, and he’s not exactly shown up yet!
There are many people gathered for the baptism, including the women who were at the birth of the baby. We’re sure they won’t apologize to Julia for everything they said and did during the birth, but what are they going to say to Davina after she kicked them out?
Murtagh is also in some of these images, and we know that he has a fairly big storyline in Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 7. Brian learns that Murtagh knows about him and Ellen, but will he be the one to share this with others?
Dougal attends a clandestine meeting
From the synopsis, we know that Dougal is going to attend a clandestine meeting, and it looks like there are a few images of that taking place. Someone who stands out in the images is Dominic Fraser as Marcus MacRannoch.
We know that Dougal promised Ellen to MacRannoch if the Jacobites sided with Dougal. Well, while that didn’t work out with the decision Dougal and Colum made together for the sake of the clan, it doesn’t mean Dougal’s fight for the Stuart lineage has stopped. It looks like Ellen shows up, though, and this could threaten everything.
Does Colum know where his brother is in all of this? Is this what leads Ellen to what could be Cranesmuir?
Henry wakes up the next morning in Blood of My Blood
Meanwhile, we’ll see Henry the day after his break from reality. It’s clear that he’s regretting everything that happened, but he can’t blame himself when he was in the middle of his grief. I also don’t blame the prostitute for going through with it, as Henry could have been dangerous had she not played along.
Henry is going to attempt to get back to the stones, but we know Arch Bug and others will stop him. We get a quick glimpse of that happening in the new episode images.
