When Miss Scarlet season 6 started, we wondered where Eliza and Blake would find themselves. It wasn’t that surprising to see that they were enjoying time together, and that they were hiding their relationship from others.
People are slowly starting to find out, and that’s something that they will have to deal with. However, Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 2 highlights a potentially bigger problem when it comes to furthering their relationship.
Eliza and Blake make a deal on Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 2
At the start of Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 2, Blake shares that he is hiring some of the other agencies out there as well as Eliza’s. He doesn’t want to make it look like he’s playing favorites, even though he knows that Eliza’s skills are far more superior to others. While it makes sense, it hurts Eliza a little, and she ends up annoyed with Blake.
He decides that it’s probably best not to discuss work on their personal time, and it’s something that comes up throughout the episode. The two end up on the opposite side of a case, and that definitely stops them from discussing work, until the two realize that they need to work together.
By the end of the episode, the two are out at dinner, and Blake brings up a burglary. However, that breaks the rule of not discussing work. Eliza tries to find a way around it, but Blake is going to take the case on, and so, it will directly affect him. However, as they sit there in an awkward silence, they realize that they both want to discuss the case, and the rule goes out of the window.
Do Eliza and Blake have anything else to discuss?
This is where the problem for their relationship comes on Miss Scarlet. Do the two have something else that they can discuss?
Of course, their work is going to be a subject now and then. We all talk about our work with partners and friends, as it’s something that is a major part of our day. For Eliza, her work is her own business, so of course, it’s a topic that she enjoys discussing.
However, there have to be other topics to discuss. The two can’t just connect on a work level. We know that there should be other topics that they enjoy discussing, as they are both avid readers and they have both lived a bigger life outside of each other. There are sure to be topics with Barnabus and Ivy living with Eliza and with Blake’s daughter, who Eliza is close to.
We need to see them have other discussions, though. Throughout Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 2, they only discussed work. They couldn’t enjoy time together without work coming up, and this causes a potential problem that the show needs to address.
