Henry didn’t want to believe that his wife and unborn child were dead, but he had no choice in Outlander: Blood of My Blood. Now he’s learned that it wasn’t true, and he’s sure to want to get some answers.
Caution: This post contains SPOILERS for Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 8
The latest episode of Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1, episode 8 finally brought us the reunion we’d been waiting for. Henry initially thought he was seeing ghosts in Castle Leoch, but his wife, Julia, really was there. The two found each other by the end of the episode, but they couldn’t remain together.
There is hope, now, but Henry will need to find a way to Castle Leathers. Now is not the time for that, though, which means his questioning of Arch Bug will need to wait.

Henry will need to tackle Isaac Grant’s estate in Outlander: Blood of My Blood
The end of episode 8 brought some devastating news for Malcolm Grant. His father has died, and that means Clan Grant will look at him to be laird. Well, not necessarily, but he has been raised to be the next laird. There isn’t the same discussion as there was when it came to Clan MacKenzie after Red Jacob’s death.
There will be a lot for Henry to deal with as the Grants’ bladier. We saw Ned have to handle a lot, and not just to help with who would become the next laird. He would have dealt with a lot of the finances until a laird was named, and he needed to make sure other elements of the estate were handled.
Now is not a good time for Henry to deal with personal matters, and he will know that. It doesn’t mean that he won’t want to look for some answers as to why someone told him Julia and the baby had died, though. Maybe he’ll find that in some ledgers, as a payment to someone for this was potentially written down somewhere.

Henry may struggle to escape Castle Grant
Henry had told Ned that he thought he could use Malcolm as an ally, but there hasn’t been the time to build that friendship. This means that Henry could find himself stuck at Castle Grant.
Eventually, he’s sure to confront Arch Bug about the lies that were told. The problem here is that it gives Henry’s hand away. He won’t want Arch to know that he knows the truth just yet, until he’s found a way to escape.
He’ll need Ned’s help in this, which is where the bromance comes in that we’ve discussed at ClaireandJamie.com before. He needs to find a reason to get to Castle Leathers, and from there, to get to the stones with Julia and their baby. Can it be done?
