Miss Scarlet wasted no time in introducing another new character, and one that we’ll only probably see pop up now and then. Florence helped Moses and Clarence with the case on Miss Scarlet season 6 episode 3, but it looked like she was going to be a liability.
When Florence was first introduced, she came in loud and completely oblivious to the danger around her. She spoke all about the diamond that she had in her bag, and she made a big show of herself as a widow. Moses and Clarence quickly sat her down to shut her up, but the “damage” was done.

It was all an act on Miss Scarlet
The good news is that Florence wasn’t as dumb as she initially appeared. The widow appearance was all an act, and the diamond that was stolen from them was actually a fake that she and Patrick Nash had created.
In fact, we learned that Florence and Patrick are together, and the show suggested a romantic sense. However, she was a little jealous and worried of Eliza, as she had heard a lot about the woman from Patrick. Fortunately, Moses was able to make it clear that there was nothing to worry about when it came to Eliza and Patrick!
As Florence allowed her own identity to come out, we learned that the cab driver was actually her father, and he was the one with the real diamond. At least, everyone thought he had the real diamond. In truth, Patrick had tricked everyone and traveled with the real diamond to Southampton to hand it over to Eliza directly.

Could Florence return on Miss Scarlet?
With that, it seemed Florence was heading off back to be with Patrick Nash. Where that will be in the long-term is anyone’s guess, as it turned out that Patrick had decided to do a lot of traveling since jumping on that ship to Australia.
So, could we see her again? Possibly. It’s not like the series hasn’t brought back a guest star now and then. However, I don’t think there is any need to bring her back, unless it’s a story that has to include Patrick. I’d rather see Patrick return for an episode rather than Florence.
The problem with Florence is she quickly became annoying to watch. Once I found out it was all an act, I was still annoyed by her, because it didn’t make sense that she put on so much of a show. Sure, she knew that people were after her and the diamond, but she could have set up a better plan to protect herself. I don’t think there’s a need to ever bring her back.
Miss Scarlet airs on Sundays at 8/7c on PBS.
